These pressures conspire to make us see lack and scarcity all around. Lack of opportunity, lack of time, lack of love, lack of wealth and much more.

You believe you live in a world of scarcity. You feel you are a victim of circumstance or perhaps want to control everything, so you don’t lose any more.

Emotionally you’re switched off, overwhelmed, angry and scared. Possibly, all at the same time. You find it difficult to focus and are wedded to negative thoughts that see scarcity all around.

Your body is tense and fearful of surprises. You might grind your teeth or require constant physio / chiropractic treatment to treat your tense, contracted muscles.

This may be your daily state of mind and state of body. If so, this holds you back from seeing the beauty, abundance and wonder all around.

Despite the fast pace of our modern world, someone with an abundant mentality has a relaxed sense of self.

You engage with the world on your own terms knowing there is more than enough of everything for everyone. Why be fearful and angry at the world when there is so much to give and receive.

An abundant thinker gives gratitude for everything in their life, they do not define it by what they don’t have. Emotionally, an abundant person is engaged, a positive thinker, energized with other people, interested and inquisitive.

Abundant people:

  • Enjoy a feeling of clarity and peace and you listen actively.
  • Know you own mind and take a balanced view of the world.
  • See abundance in everything such as friendships, money, love, career, giving and receiving.
  • Look for the opportunities

Whether you know it or not, you are living proof of the Law of Attraction which states people attract into their life what they most commonly focus on.

If you focus your thoughts and emotions on scarcity, you see it all around. If you focus on abundance you see opportunities, give gratitude, and appreciate the unlimited resources available to everyone.

5 Tips to Live an Abundant Life

Some people are clearly 100% in a scarcity mindset. Others are obviously 100% abundant in their thinking. Most of us are somewhere in between.

I like to think I’m an abundant thinker, but I catch myself with thoughts of scarcity more often than I care to admit. What I know is I can always strive to improve my thinking and vibrational alignment with the Universe.

With that in mind, here are 5 tips to help you (and me!) live a more abundant life.

The more you engage with the activities, topics and people you are passionate about, the more you see the abundance of possibilities and opportunity in the world.

Write a list of what you love to do. Who do you want to be around?

It will invigorate your view of the world and open you up to abundance and prosperity. Once you lose yourself to activities or passions that capture your attention then a scarcity vs abundance mindset will melt away.

Become aware of your thoughts, especially when they turn to fear and scarcity. Practice mindfulness and meditation as means of bringing a thoughtful calm to your life.

Taking time out from your daily work routine to sit quietly and simply be at peace is a powerful interruption to negative thoughts.

If you have negative beliefs about scarcity then these can be challenged and changed by writing and saying positive affirmations.
