“Like attracts like” is the foundation of the Law of Attraction. This means that you receive that which you send out to others.

By changing your energy, values, beliefs and mindset you are sending out powerful messages to the Universe about how you want your life to be in future.

The first step to manifesting what you want in life, is to clearly communicate your goals and desires.

Our dream life will consist of lots of things, and therefore will be a very big message.

So how do we ask for what we want in a way that our message is clearly understood?

4 Manifestation Exercises to do Today

The four manifestation exercises to visualize your dream life are as follows:

  1. Create a Dream Board
  2. Use a Focus Wheel
  3. Create a Focus Object
  4. Engage in Giving Gratitude

You don’t have to practice all four techniques right away. Choose the one that makes the most sense to you now and add the others as you feel comfortable.

Let’s begin with your dream board …

1. Create a Dream Board (AKA Vision Board)

Creating a dream board is a popular method for visualizing your future life.

A dream board is a cork board / whiteboard you place on your wall.

You attach inspiring pictures of things, places, experiences and people you want in your future life.

You can also place quotes, phrases and words on this board to help you focus for visualization routine.

A dream board becomes the basis from which your affirmations, meditation and other visualization exercises are derived.

Dedicate a wall in your house to put this board up. Take time to think carefully about what to include in your visual representation of the different areas of your life.

Use this board as a trigger for you tell the universe for what you want in your life.

2. Use a Focus Wheel

A focus wheel is a way to clarify your goals and remind yourself about the positive beliefs you need to adopt to reach your goals.

This technique is from Abraham Hicks and is very helpful in improving focus in your life.

First, have your notebook to hand.

Start by drawing a circle as big as you can on the page and divide into 12 sections. See the diagram below:

Inside the center circle you write a single goal or dream. Do not write something like “I want a better life”. You may want a better life, but it is not specific enough.

You need to state what a “better life” is for you.

Let’s take three examples of health, wealth and relationships.

  • I am XX weight. I run 3 miles every day. I eat healthy meals each day.
  • I am mortgage free. I earn XX dollars per annum. I have a 3-bed condo by the beach.
  • I am with my soulmate. I have an increased circle of friends. I feel love every day.

So, in the center of your focus wheel, state specifically what you want about one area of your life. By the way, you can create as many focus wheels as you like.

In the 12 sections surrounding your central goal or point of focus, write positive statements about your goal.

Some examples:

  • Do you want improved health and if so, what specifically do you want to improve? Fitness, nutrition, reduced illness are all separate things you may want to focus on.
  • Would you like increased wealth? Why is important to have this wealth? What specifically would you do with the wealth?
  • Do you want to improve your personal relationships? Are you looking for your soulmate? Do you want a more loving relationship with your partner?

Fill all 12 sections around the central goal.

For each goal complete 1 focus wheel.

Place your focus wheel where it is a visual reminder to help you focus on your goal.

Over time you adopt the behavior, attitudes and beliefs you need to achieve your goal.

3. Create a Focus Object

A focus object is a picture or physical object that represents the goal you wish to attract into your life.

Think about the reality you want to manifest and choose an object/picture that represents this to you.

Hold and touch the object as you speak your messages to the universe.

Every time you see or feel the object, it will act as a reminder to focus on what you want.

If your focus object is small enough you can put it in your pocket and use it during meditation or visualization exercises.

Use it whenever you need a confidence boost or motivation to keep moving towards your goals.

4. Engage in Gratitude

Expressing gratitude sends messages to the universe about what you want and what you value.

Giving gratitude is central to the Law of Attraction.

The more gratitude you express, the more you will have to be grateful for.

Create a gratitude list and reflect daily on the positive way in which these blessings have influenced your life.

The more time you spend on focusing on positive things, the more positivity you will attract into your life.
